Ongoing delays have pushed the estimated arrival time in Albany to after the Albany-Chicago train is scheduled to depart. There's nothing to be done about it. I'll just wait and see what happens.

I'm slowly lining up things to do for my next segment. Chicago has a bike-share system, which I'm thinking of trying out. The weather's calling for 30% chance of rain with a high of 40F; I've had worse days to bike through. Conveniently, I even have waterproof cycling gloves with me.

I'll have to go to sleep at some point. I'll have to eat at some point. Long stretches of train after dark make it hard to remember that I have a physical body with metabolic needs. I have to drink water occasionally. The other people on the car watch the restroom doors carefully, waiting for the moment to step into one before anyone else can. Everyone is plugged into a power outlet.
