this is a travelogue-like thing for my 79-hour run of the lakeshore limited (22 hrs), the cardinal (27 hours), and the pennsylvanian (9 hours). the 79 hour figure includes a 9 hour layover in chicago and a 13 hour layover in new york.
no, i am not planning a 100% completion of all amtrak lines (yet).
